As we move into May, weโre excited to share some updates from Rawmarsh Foodbank, from celebrating our amazing volunteers to connecting with the wider foodbank network and continuing to support our community.

๐ Volunteer Spotlight: Sam

This month, weโre proud to shine the spotlight on Sam ๐
Sam joined us as a warehouse assistant back in the autumn and works alongside Neal every Thursday morning in the RaFB warehouse.
Sam thrives on routine and structure, and he plays a key role in keeping everything running smoothly. Heโs brilliant at sorting, labelling, and organising donations in date order, making sure everything is ready for our sessions.
Not only that, but Sam always brings a smile to everyoneโs face and is a real pleasure to work alongside ๐
Thank you, Sam, for the difference you make every single week – we really appreciate you!

๐ Trussell Rolling Roadshow

Across April and May, Trussell Trust is hosting its annual Rolling Roadshow – a fantastic opportunity for food banks across the network to come together.
These events are all about:
- ๐ Learning
- ๐ญ Reflecting
- ๐ก Sharing ideas
- ๐ฅ Gaining inspiration
Weโre excited that five members of the RaFB team are attending this year, and weโre really looking forward to a packed and inspiring day!
๐ Look out on our socials for photos and updates from the day!

๐ Mental Health Awareness Week
This month also marks Mental Health Awareness Week, and itโs a reminder that what we do goes beyond food.
At Rawmarsh Foodbank, we donโt just provide food parcels – we also offer support in other ways.ย Weย take the time to:
- ๐ฌ Listen and have a chat
- ๐ค Understand individual circumstances
- ๐ Signpost to further support and services
Weโre here not just to provide food, but to offer care, connection, and guidance when itโs needed most.

๐ Thank You
We are incredibly grateful for the continued support we receive from across our community, both through financial donations and food contributions.
We know itโs a tough time for many, and we truly donโt take your support for granted.
Together, we are helping people move forward, out of crisis and towards a brighter future ๐
Rawmarsh Foodbank is about more than food. Itโs about people, community, and support, and you play a key part in making that happen.
