Four years of community, compassion and making a difference! 💚
On 3rd November, Rawmarsh Foodbank celebrates its fourth birthday! Since opening in November 2022, we have been incredibly fortunate to have the support of our wonderful volunteers, donors, local schools, churches, businesses and wider community.
Every donation, every hour volunteered and every act of kindness has helped us support people facing difficult times.
As we celebrate four years of RaFB, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. We couldn't do what we do without you, and we look forward to continuing to support our community together.
Here's to everything we've achieved so far, and to the difference we can continue to make in the years ahead!
Volunteer Spotlight
This month, we're delighted to shine a spotlight on Ann Smith, a hugely valued member of our RaFB café team.
Ann's passion for helping others shines through in her caring and gentle nature. She plays an important role in helping the people who visit RaFB feel safe, heard and respected, offering warmth and kindness when it matters most.
It's people like Ann who make Rawmarsh Foodbank about so much more than food.
Thank you, Ann, for your continued dedication and support. We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the team! 💚

🎁 Help Us Give the Gift of Christmas
Alongside festive food, we're hoping to provide a Christmas gift set for everyone we support.
We're looking for children's, women's and men's gift sets, as well as financial contributions to help us purchase gifts and make sure nobody is left out.
For some people, this may be the only present they receive this festive season. Your generosity could help make Christmas feel that little bit more special.
If you can donate a gift set or contribute financially, we'd be incredibly grateful. Together, we can help spread a little joy this Christmas. 💛
National Tesco Winter Collection
Our biggest food collection of the year is back!
The RaFB team will be at Tesco Wath for our annual Tesco Winter Collection, gathering essential food donations to help stock our warehouse for Christmas, the New Year and beyond.
📍Location: Tesco, Wath
📅Thursday 26th November: 9am–3pm
📅Friday 27th November: 9am–5pm
📅Saturday 28th November: 9am–5pm
If you're visiting Tesco on any of these dates, please pop over and say hello!
Every tin, packet and donation makes a difference. These three days play a vital role in helping us prepare for the busy winter period and ensure we have essential supplies available for the people who need us.
We hope to see you there!

A Huge Thank You for Your Harvest Donations! ❤️
Back in September, we shared that our warehouse shelves were looking rather empty. We have been truly overwhelmed by the response and the incredible generosity shown by our local community.
We would like to say a special thank you to everyone who has supported us, particularly the schools, churches and community groups who have kindly donated as part of their Harvest celebrations.
A huge thank you to:
- Rawmarsh Monkwood Primary – 146.2kg
- Rawmarsh Ashwood Primary – 67kg
- Hilltop School – 20.85kg
- Piccadilly Methodist – 104kg
- Rawmarsh Methodist – 68.92kg
- St Joseph's Football Club – 27.6kg
- St Joseph's School – 157.65kg
- St Mary's Church – 52.75kg
- Swinton Academy – 28.75kg
- Ryecroft Infants – 51.7kg
- Treeton Community Group – 41.55kg
We have also received several generous donations from individuals. While we haven't listed these by name, as some donors wish to remain anonymous and we don't have permission to share everyone's details, we are incredibly grateful for every single contribution.
Together, these Harvest donations total an amazing 766.91kg of food - equivalent to approximately 1,800 meals!

As we celebrate four years of Rawmarsh Foodbank, we are reminded of just how much our community makes possible.
We are incredibly grateful for the continued support we receive through food donations, financial contributions, fundraising and the dedication of our volunteers.
We know that times remain difficult for many people, and we never take your kindness for granted.
At RaFB, we believe we're about so much more than providing food. Every person's circumstances are different, and we do our best to take a holistic approach by listening, offering support and signposting people to additional services when needed.
Together, we're helping people through difficult times and working towards a brighter future.
Thank you for standing alongside Rawmarsh Foodbank. Here's to four years of community support...and many more to come! 💚
With gratitude,
The Rawmarsh Foodbank Team
